My first Trends: Hit and Misses: Ill be taking trends that I see on a day to day basis that has really made an impact (not things on runways and stuff like that). On everyday people and give you my thoughts on it whether they're good (Hit) or they're bad (Miss). Ill give my reasoning behind my opinion and I hope that you guys will comment and tell me what you think too.
So Ill start with the trend that missed. There's been such an uprising in this floral pattern and its not just the floral pattern but more of this Sunflower pattern that I've seen just sweeping across clothing stores and on people. I enjoy a good floral pattern but I think that this sunflower pattern is just really ugly and it looks really over done in my opinion. I think that a good flower pattern shouldnt eat up the outfit but instead be beautiful & suttle to whatever item of clothing its on. So this sunflower pattern trend is definitely a miss for me and I'm thankful to to kind of see it passing now.
The hit trend that has been starting up now is one that was around a bit in the early 2000's and we witnessed a horrible example when Britney Spears and Justine Timberlake walked the red carpet with Jean on Jean. However, this jean on jean look is making a comeback and its a trend thats hotter than ever. When done right the jean on jean look looks really urban and cool. It even looks really fashionable as its being seen on some ads featured from H&M so I really hope more people do pick up on this trend (but done on the right way).

Interesting analysis, Jazmin. I like sunflowers but I agree that the print can be jarring. It is just too much. As far as the denim on denim trend, I like certain pairings; mainly, I like dark on dark denim or dark with mid-rinse denim. I am not a fan of the lighter washes. This is such a creative idea for posts. I look forward to your next post.

Yeah thanks for the comment and darker washed denim does tend to look better when paired together.
